ジューン・テイバーを初めて聴かせていただきました。うまいですねぇ。が、あらためてこの歌は難しいなと思いました。
当時の歌唱がおしなべて明るい、どこか爽やかな感じを受けるのに対し、のちのものには「思い」が重くなりすぎてしまい、兵舎でどう聞こえるかを追体験しづらいみたいです。もちろん安楽な聴衆に向けての歌い方として重厚になるんでしょうけど、何となく歌詞とそぐわないようで。
とはいえ、今、あまり能天気に歌っては、ちょっと愚かに見えてしまうかもしれませんね。やっかいです。
英語は、ヴェラ・リン版がスタンダードっぽいですね。アンデルセンのものはドイツ語放送のばかりが普及し、英語のは連合国側の歌手のものが流行したんでしょうか。ディートリッヒはひとり独自路線で、自己主張が強いですね。自分の名にちなんでMarleenをMarleneに変えたとかの話は、鈴木明氏の著書にも出ていたような気がします。
